Earl’s Electric, Inc. - 40 Year Anniversary

In 1968, at 23 years of age, Earl Haugenoe realized he had a love and talent for working with electricity – and so he became an apprentice electrician. It was always in the back of his mind that he would one day own his own business.

Earl worked hard, finished his apprenticeship, earned his journeyman’s license, and then his Masters license while working for several shops in the Williston area. In 1984, Earl decided it was finally time to realize his dream.

The 80’s were not an ideal time to start a new business in Williston. The price of oil had dropped dramatically, and drought had a grip on North Dakota – depressing activity in Western North Dakota’s two economic pillars. Despite these challenges, Earl’s Electric opened its doors with one truck, a basement office in the house, and a strong work ethic.

Forty years later, Earl’s Electric, Inc. continues to operate and thrive under the ownership and leadership of the second and third generations of the Haugenoe family. We have a few more trucks, a bigger shop and yard, but the same strong work ethic.

A special “Thanks” to all of our valued customers over the years. Without you, this wouldn’t be possible.

Cheers to 40 years.
